            FUTURE OF NAVIGATION


The future of navigation is expected to combine connected navigation and AI. Vehicles will be equipped with sensors and systems that provide real-time data on traffic , weather , and other factors.AI algorithms will analyze this data and provide personalized recommendations to drivers.

       the speed and sophistication of digital navigation solutions is rapidly evolving . from waiting days or weeks to receive digital updates via a physical disc, improved ship-shore connectivity means that it will be possible to deliver navigational updates in near-time in the future.


ENC'S AND BEYOND 

                            Electronic navigation charts are today familiar to every mariner. But they are already progressing well beyond what they were when the use of ECDIS first became mandatory over a decade ago.

                                                This will allow seafarers to optimise their passage planning , voyage and port calls, helping to minimise costs, fuel consumption and emission. to optimise a vessel , you need a clear understanding of its place in space and time and the latest navigational data standards and delivery methods provide this trusted foundation that  a mariner and ship owner can use to inform their decision making .

                            We are also realising more and more about how powerful tool navigational data can be , not just in meeting shipping enduring challenge of keeping vessel, cargo and seafarers safe at sea , but also in helping to tackle new and emerging priorities.


THE NEXT GENERATION OF DIGIITAL NAVIGATION SOLUTIONS : 

Much of this will be made possible by next generation of digital navigation , underpinned by the international hydrographic Organization new standard , name s-100.

Through a single , coherent data framework , s-100 will transform the way the navigation community views, shares and uses marine geospatial and navigational data , enriching the view of the world outside and beneath the vessel and enabling safer , more effective voyages .

  Introduction The  movie is set in a cold region where two T2 type tanker ship snapped in half and the protagonist sets out to the sea with his team to save them.  The coast guard goes out in the sea to save the people stranded on board a ship which had snapped in half due to bad conditions of the sea. Learning from the movie  I learnt how a seafarer in distress not only showed endurance to the rough sea and the role of  a leader in need. The future of navigation is looking bright with the developing infrastructure and technology. The introduction of autopilot on board a ship has made navigating the ship little easier in combination with other technologies.
