Review Of The Movie The Finest Hour By- Richek Singh and Roll no.-22606 (Blog 2)

 



Introduction

The  movie is set in a cold region where two T2 type tanker ship snapped in half and the protagonist sets out to the sea with his team to save them.  The coast guard goes out in the sea to save the people stranded on board a ship which had snapped in half due to bad conditions of the sea.


Learning from the movie 

I learnt how a seafarer in distress not only showed endurance to the rough sea and the role of  a leader in need. Despite all the odds the captain (the temporary captain appointed at that time of distress) stopped the people from doing the wrong thing for example: he cut down the life boat which he new that could not endure the rough sea and he was right about it. Not only that but he also showed how in the time of emergency we should create and think out of the box. Like in the movie he used a beam to steer the ship. We can also learn a lot from our hero the cost guard and his team that they despite their difficulties to cross some boundaries in sea they took the risk got through them even if they had to go inside the water for that. It a great example of pure determination and courage.

Conclusion

As a future officer onboard the ship the movie let me know about the grave dangers the sea can posses when it is not calm. Not only that but the movie also prepared me in a way that in case a distress you should always be steady, calm and completely sane to take all necessary actions to save our family on board the ship. The movie is good example of how truly determined you should be towards your job and if it concerns safety on board a vessel it must be fulfilled at all costs no matter the time and energy used. This was truly inspiring and heart touching story.
