MOVIE : FINEST HOURS BY SIDDHESH BARDE ROLL NO : 22589

 SUMMARY OF THE MOVIE:

  • "The Finest Hours" is a fitting tribute to those whom survived and those whom were lost immemorial to the U.S. Coastguard.  Most seaworthy of all men at sea attempting to do often impossible ~ U.S. Coastguard.
  • Not screaming wratching howling watery inferno of "The Perfect Storm", but these men are more noble as they only are there to rescue lives, not the greatest haul.
  •  Chris Pine a soft anchor to the tragedy but still conquering, keeps us steady at his stern of the CG 36500 to at least take 'all men' from the disastered sinking Coast Guard Lacerated Cutter, on board, cautiously.
  •   Reaching Chatham, the car headlights to beacon in the CG 36500 is hardly believable but hey Pine's fiancé is ashore and they 'must' readily meet kiss and embrace as finale to the pull and tug of rescue in The Finest Hours.  A success story which soothes the audience.
MY LEARNING FROM THE MOVIE :
  • From movie I learnt that despite of several problem or challenges , we must not lose hope and try out possible outcomes at that moment .
  • Never Giving Up:- Has the power to make someone realize that if you have to go out and its raining we can either use raincoat or umbrella this shows that we have alternate option always ready but  we just need to be determined to do things .

  • Teamwork and Leadership: Bernie Webber's leadership and the teamwork of the Coast Guard crew demonstrate the power of collaboration and unity in achieving seemingly impossible goals.
  • Resilience and Perseverance: Despite overwhelming odds, the characters in the movie refuse to give up. Their resilience and perseverance serve as inspiring examples of overcoming obstacles and achieving success.
PART OF THE MOVIE THAT IMPRESSED ME:
  • The best part of the movie that impressed me was the last rescue mission which was carried out by the coast guard of US.
  • The US rescue board was having the capacity of 15 to 20 crew members at a time.
  • The scene where Webber shuts off the radio and takes his own decision.
  • This shows that in our life at some moment we need to independently take our decision in spite of not knowing any circumstances.
  • He was a man who was so sincere and always followed rules but when his senior told asked him to come back at that time he ignored their command and carried out the rescue operation to save lives of people this show that even if sometimes we don't respect our senior decision or order and take our own decision which will be beneficiary for all, will cause no harm to anybody.
PERSPECTIVE:
  • "The Finest Hours" is a movie based on a true story that recounts the daring rescue mission undertaken by the U.S. Coast Guard off the coast of Cape Cod in 1952. The film portrays the perspective of bravery, resilience, and determination in the face of extreme adversity.
  • It emphasizes the heroism of the Coast Guard crew who risked their lives to save the crew of an oil tanker that had split in half during a violent storm.
  • The movie highlights the themes of teamwork, sacrifice, and duty as the Coast Guard members defy the odds and battle treacherous conditions to carry out their rescue mission.
  •  It also showcases the human aspect of the story, exploring the relationships between the rescuers and the rescued, as well as the emotional toll of such a high-stakes operation.
