Summary
  • One thing I really liked about The Finest Hours is how it also felt a lot like an old, classic movie.
  • The Finest Hours is a great action drama that illustrates an incredible and true daring rescue from the brave individuals of the U.S. Coast Guard.
  • This heroic action-thriller is based on the true story of the greatest small-boat rescue in Coast Guard history.
  • The film opens with an introduction of Bernie and his friend Gus as they go to meet Miriam for the first time in person in a diner.
  •  In 1952, a massive winter storm strikes off the coast of Cape Cod, ripping a T-2 oil tanker in half and trapping more than 30 sailors inside its rapidly sinking stern.
  • Coast Guard to make the tough decision of braving the life-threatening storm in an attempt to rescue any possible survivors.


MY LEARNING FROM THE MOVIE-

  • One of the most important thing I acknowledged from this movie is how to handle social responsibility and grace under pressure.
  • Opportunity often arises from unexpected and facing such problems in life will help me to gain confidence, overcome challenges and increase our resiliency and help us to grow in person.
  • However the condition is one should not look after the result and must put all his efforts to make the situation/task complete as in our favor. 

PART OF THE MOVIE THAT IMPRESED ME-


  • The part of the movie that impressed me the most was the last scene seeing each of the crew member safe to shore station by the coast guard of US. 
  • The US rescue board was having the capacity of almost half of the crew member stuck onboard the ship.
  • But in that case the rescue leader have attendant around all  crew members successfully rescued from the half broken vessel.
  • This is how this shows the leadership qualities and other quality is to which can develop in myself and also inspired me.

PERSPECTIVE -

  • As per my perspective the movie is all based on what is applied on seafarer life nothing is certain onboard a vessel all we need to do is maintain proper protocol as acquired by the master and company. 
  • The most crucial lesson which I got through this movie is how to be calm ,stable and handle all the emergencies with the sufficient tools and equipment.
  • The coast guard inspired me the most as of not having the compass with him he did not took his step back and with all of his experiences he managed to find the vessel, this shows all of courage and desire to save the crew members.
