 Indian Seafarers that inspire me



1. T.S. Rahman:- he was the first Indian to become a captain in Merchant Navy Rahman achievement paved the way for countries Indian seafarers to follow in his footsteps and pursue career in the maritime industry



2.Radhika Menon is an Indian female merchant navy officer currently serving as the captain of the Indian Merchant Navy. She is also the first female captain of the Indian Merchant Navy who also led the oil products tanker Suvarna . In 2016, Radhika also became the first woman to receive the IMO Award for Exceptional Bravery at Sea.


 She is well known for her rescue operation which she conducted successfully in June 2015 saving seven fishermen who were trapped for a week in a boat.


3.Satyendranath Basu: He was the first Indian to qualify as a Marine Engineer. Basu's expertise and contributions to marine engineering laid the foundation for many future Indian engineers in the Merchant Navy.




4.CAPT. SUNIL


- HE IS CAPTAIN IN ANGLO EASTERN.HE HAS SAILED MORE THAN 16 YERS 

AND HAS A YOUTUBE CHANNEL WITH MORE THAN 100K SUBCRIBER.
